Australia’s finest cheese and gelato put to the test at Sydney Showground.
Australia’s best cream, gelato, yoghurt, cheese, butter and even camels’ milk will go under the knife, spoon, and tastebud this week as the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’s 2022 Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show gets underway at Sydney Showground until 23 June 2022.
Following a reschedule from its annual February date, the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show will welcome 30 expert judges from across Australia to assess over 700 exhibits in almost 100 categories.
Judged on presentation, flavour, aroma, texture, and body, each exhibit will undergo rigorous testing by a panel of judges before being awarded a bronze, silver, gold, or champion medal based on its score.
New Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Chair of Judges Tiffany Beer says she is excited to continue to elevate the competition as she takes over the reins.
“Products entered into the competition continue to be of the highest quality available to Australian consumers and reflects the industry commitment to produce and expand the range of cheese and dairy products with the growth of the market for high-quality Australian cheese and dairy products,” Tiffany Beer said.
“We are very fortunate to have committed expert Judges from all areas of the dairy and general food industry. Judges are dedicated to impartially judging and rewarding quality cheese and dairy products and providing feedback to the manufacturers to support continual improvement.
“Recognition of products through the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show objectively demonstrates that the quality of these products is amongst the best in the world.”
Judging will take place at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, kicking off with Ice Cream, gelato, yoghurt, and milk today.
