Sydney Showground, home of the summer music season

Festival season has officially begun at Sydney Showground with 55,000 festival goers descending on the premier venue at the start of October for Knockout Sydney, and that is just the beginning.

Over the next five months, Sydney Showground will welcome global rock-stars Pearl Jam and Green Day to ENGIE Stadium, as both acts return to Australia for the first time in almost a decade.

Meanwhile, in the Munro Warehouse, international DJ, Peggy Gou will get the party started in November before sold-out electronic dance party, Boiler Room, returns bigger and better than ever in December, with the event expanding to two stages.

“Sydney Showground is thrilled to be welcoming such an incredible array of artists over the live events season, with each act offering a unique entertainment experience for its guests,” said Sydney Showground General Manager, Darryl Jeffrey.

“In 2023, we proved that ENGIE Stadium has something special to offer as a major concert venue and as a result we are thrilled to welcome global superstars Pearl Jam and Green Day to the stage in what is bound to be two incredible experiences for Australian music lovers.

“As a venue, we have also noticed a shift in live events, with promoters offering more unique event experiences for consumers, such as the sold-out Boiler Room and individual acts like Peggy Gou. These events and artists have a dedicated fan base and offer a point of difference, which is important when a consumer is picking and choosing where to spend their money.”

Over the next five months, Sydney Showground will host a huge line-up of live music events and concerts across the multi-purpose venue’s various precincts, with some events even running back-to-back, such as Palm Tree Festival and Boiler Room in December.

“It is going to be a huge few months for us but if Knockout is anything to go by, it’s a good start to the season,” said Jeffrey.

Additional events set to take over the Sydney Showground precinct this live events season include Ridin’ Hearts (November 2), Peggy Gou (November 16), Pearl Jam (November 21 & 23), Joker Xue (December 1), Palm Tree (December 6), Boiler Room (December 7), EPIK (December 14), Dreamstate (February 8), and Green Day (March 3, 2025), with still more to be announced.
